The Murales of Tinnura

The Murales of Tinnura

Sardinia has a tradition of mural paintings, murales, from the beginning made alfresco with pigment paint on wet plaster, but nowadays also in other techniques. I think it all originated from the social unease of the 1960s, and then became a tool for telling and communicating the history of the small island realities. Most famous is Orgosolo, where the paintings are mostly political also with texts, but nearby my home village Cuglieri, you find Tinnura that has some lovely paintings of the daily Sardinian life. Let me share some of them!
